Where is Luče?

Luče is in the mid-north of Slovenia in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps on the Savinja river. We are about an hour drive from Ljubljana and Ljubljana airport. The border with Austria is about thirty minutes drive and Klagenfurt airport is ninety minutes drive.

How many people can stay?

We can accomodate up to seven guests.

What's the weather like?

June, July & August we have temperatures from low 20’s to low 30’s Celcius, it can feel hotter when climbing! It’s not uncommon to snow as late as April which can affect off-road riding in the high peaks. May, September and October are lovely times here, bright and sunny but a little cooler. For winter fun December-February we can have heavy snow.

Is Slovenia expensive?

Slovenia is relatively cheap compared with most of Europe. At the restaurant in the village a pizza and a beer is 12-15EU. A cappuccino around 2EU, an espresso 1EU.

Tourist Tax in Slovenia is an extra charge of 2EU per day per person.

What ammenities are in the village?

Luče has one well stocked grocery store, bakery, one restaurant and three bars/cafes. One of the cafes also serves breakfast during the summer.

For a fine dining experience we also have Hiša Raduha, but we would need to reserve your table in advance.

Mozirje & Nazarje are the nearest towns with super markets, these are 20-25 minutes drive away. If you do not wish to hire a car we can arrange a grocery pick up for you.
